Bournemouth University
has, since 1993, conducted a programme of research and fieldwork reassessing
the Neolithic and Bronze Age of the Sussex chalklands. Part of this programme
involves the carrying out of a number of small, problem orientated ground
investigation projects. The purpose of this web page is to introduce the
second of the field research projects at Wolstonbury Hill in West Sussex,
and to provide a brief summary of the results obtained so far. The statements
and conclusions presented here should not therefore be considered as definitive
and the graphics displayed are intended purely to provide an impression
of the immediate discoveries. Full assimilation of data and presentation
of results will occur on completion of the final specialist results.
