EAA 99 Booking Exhibition
Space
General
A major
feature of the 1999 Annual Meeting will be a range of exhibitions and displays
featuring the work of some of Europe's best archaeological organizations,
publishers, and manufacturers of archaeological equipment. Universities,
museums, publishers, government institutions and other interested companies
should apply for space in the exhibition hall. Please print and complete
the Exhibition
Space Booking Form and return it by mail or fax to the EAA99 Secretariat.
Exhibition
space
The Standard exhibition
unit comprises a dedicated area approximately 2.50m by 1.75m, equipped
with a table and chair and having either a wall or screen at the back onto
which posters or other similar materials can be fixed. Electric power (240v
50 cycles AC) connection is also available at a small extra cost
to cover installation and supply.
The exhibits and
displays will be set up during Wednesday 15th September 1999 for
viewing between 9.00 am on Thursday 16th September and 3.00 pm on Saturday
18th September when the exhibition will close. It is anticipated
that the exhibition area will be open to senior school parties (pre-booked)
and the general public on the afternoon of Friday 17th September from 2.00pm
until approximately 5.00pm.
The
Guide to the Exhibition
A Guide to the Exhibition
will be produced for inclusion in the Conference Pack presented to delegates.
All exhibitors will automatically be listed in simple form, stating name,
address, contact details, and the main area of work (eg. Bookseller; Academic
Institution). Additional space in the handbook, including full A4 pages,
can be purchased, as set out on the application form.
Exhibitors
and Sponsorship
It is hoped that
many exhibitors will feel able to support the community of European archaeologists
by sponsoring the Annual Meeting through making an additional contribution
over and above the cost of taking exhibition space. No minimum
level of sponsorship is set as individuals and organizations are asked
to contribute according to their means.
